Measuring adherence to pulmonary rehabilitation 43 Figure 1 Parallel analysis showing the eigen values in relation to those obtained using randomly generated data. Table 3 shows the factor loadings of the two-factor PAF solution. The factors were labelled as Participation and Communication, comprising 13 items (Factor 1) and 3 items (Factor 2), respectively. The two-factor solution showed no cross-loadings, a RMSR of 0.06, a Fit based upon off diagonal of 0.98, a TLI of 0.803, a RMSEA of 0.117 (95%CI, 0.104-0.132), a BIC of -142.13 and accounted for 50.7% of the total variance. The one-factor solution showed that all items loaded on a single factor (all loadings > 0.46), but had a RMSR of 0.09, a Fit based upon off diagonal of 0.96, a TLI of 0.747, a RMSEA of 0.133 (95%CI, 0.122-0.146) and a BIC of -85.21, indicating that the twofactor solution had a better fit. The factor Participation had a McDonald’s omega of 0.92 and the factor Communication had an omega of 0.68, indicating a good internal consistency reliability.
