63 Review of social network intervention studies 2 CONCLUSION In mental healthcare, the necessity of additional integrative interventions is expressed given the social difficulties associated with complex mental health problems. This comprehensive meta-analytic study contributes to the knowledge regarding the effectiveness of additive social network interventions in psychiatric patients. Results indicate that interventions targeting social network enhancement in real life should be encouraged during mental health treatment of psychiatric patients. Additional research is warranted to optimize intervention approaches and personalized care for psychiatric populations.
