37 Review of social network intervention studies 2 Social network interventions were mostly studied in addition to treatment as usual (TAU; s = 24) or to a lesser extent separately (s = 10), and compared with an active control group consisting of TAU (s = 26), TAU with the addition of another intervention (s = 5) or passive control group (s = 4). The overall risk of bias was rated as high (s = 18), some concerns (s = 12), or in a few cases as low (s = 3), see Appendix A, Table 4.
