34 Chapter 2 funnel plot tests (Macaskill, Walter, & Irwig, 2001), Egger’s regression tests for asymmetric funnel plots of individual effect sizes (Egger, Smith, Schneider, & Minder, 1997), and the trim and fill method (Duval & Tweedie, 2000a, 2000b). In addition, sunset funnel plots were used to examine the evidential value of significant effect sizes of social network interventions, compared to control groups (Kossmeier, Tran, & Voracek, 2018). RESULTS The systematic search identified 16192 records, of which 88 full texts were assessed for final eligibility. From these studies, 36 studies met the eligibility criteria for our meta-analysis. The final selection consisted of 33 independent studies (s), comprising 29 RCTs and four quasi-experimental studies. The study selection process is presented in Figure 1.
