After ED discharge, they were also more competent in deciding when to seek medical care. This study showed that teach-back is feasible for the discharge of older adults in the ED and is associated with lower ED revisits and improved retention of discharge instructions. In chapter 7, we discussed the results of this thesis in a scientific context, and provided future perspectives.
