80 | Chapter 5 Table 5.1 presents the baseline characteristics of the participants. There were no clinically relevant differences in baseline characteristics between the intervention and control group. Participants with complete and incomplete data on falls and injuries during follow-up differed in baseline characteristics for the Mini-Mental State Examination (participants with complete data: 27.7 (SD: 2.0), participants with incomplete data: 26.7 (3.1), p < 0.01) and fall history (participants with complete data: 29% no falls, 29% 1 fall, 29% 2 falls, and 14% 3 falls), participants with incomplete data: 22% no falls, 30% 1 fall, 16% 2 falls, and 32% 3 falls, p = 0.01). Table 5.1. Baseline characteristics of the participants. Characteristics are presented as n (%) unless specified otherwise. The characteristics are presented as observed at the time of study inclusion.
