Therefore, it is essential for future research to also focus on examining parents’ experiences with the intervention. Currently, an implementation study of the BEAR intervention is underway. The findings from this study, combined with the results and recommendations presented in this thesis, contribute to the next step for the BEAR intervention development and research: optimizing its (cost)effectiveness and uptake in the general healthcare system as a standard treatment option. Our goal is for BEAR to become widely available nationwide (and maybe beyond) in its most effective form. The Dutch Expertise Network “Stichting Autisme Jonge Kind” (see General Introduction) is a key platform for the broader dissemination and implementation of the BEAR intervention, through professional training and further educational initiatives.
